Our story begins with Barbie Amesbury. She is a friendly, dramatic, absent-minded hopeless romantic who dislikes children and dreams of being a star news anchor. Her favorite color is turquoise, she loves pop music and her favorite food is pancakes.

Barbie moved to Sunset Valley to start her new career. As she arrived in town, she decided that she loved the atmosphere and would stay here. She preferred to build her own house to working with what someone else had left but she was a little strapped for cash. Her house, at this point, only included the bare necessities: a bed, a toilet, a fridge and a shower. Once she heads down to Doo Peas Corporate Tower and gets her journalism job, she will be able to add to it.

After successfully interviewing and acquiring a job as Sunset Valley's new Paper Girl, Barbie headed over to Old Pier Beach to meet some people. The beach was empty so she decided to head to the library. There she met Jared Frio who disliked her at first site.

She also met Connor Frio who mostly wanted to talk about work but otherwise seemed like a nice guy. She decided to call it a day and go back home so she could prepare for her first day of work.

After her first stress-filled day in the journalism world, Barbie decided she should save some money and take some classes to improve her writing skills. But, for now, a nap and a trip to the park would relieve some of her stress. Especially, if she can get celebrity, Christopher Steel, to notice her.

After telling a ghost story, he gave her the cold shoulder so she decided to check out her coworkers instead.

Barbie invited Connor Frio over to her house to get to know him better and found out that he was married. After Connor left, she invited Simis Bachelor over.

Unfortunately, Simis bored Barbie and was also family-oriented, which scared her a li...lot.
Barbie met Gobias Koffi while leaving the bistro. They chatted for a while and the only thing she learned about him is that he is never nude. Seems like appropriate conversation for your first encounter with someone.
The next day, Barbie heads to the pool where she meets Beau Andrews. She soon finds out that he's married to her boss.
After a whole week in town with no romance, our hopelessly romantic heroine called Connor and asked him to come over with the intent to woo him. And, it worked.
